real-life application

When I read to the kids from the Bible, I often ask them what they think the verses mean, sharing my thoughts after they have a chance to respond.  Tonight while reading the "get the beam out of your eye before you point out the speck in your brother's eye" passage, Drew volunteered right away...."That's kind of like if you need to sweep a room, you pick the big stuff off the floor first before you try to clean up the dirt."  I love the application!
