Drew and Aden are playing little league baseball, and loving it! We had been blessed with no injuries up until 2 weeks ago. Drew was playing catcher, and when he jumped up and threw the mask off to make a play at home, the shortstop made a hard throw to Drew's nose. (Drew realized later that he had taken his eyes off the ball for a split second to watch the runner....lesson learned!) As Jon and the other coaches were checking him out at home plate, he kept saying "I'm alright, it doesn't hurt!" He was hoping they wouldn't take him out of the game, but when he started getting dizzy, we carried him to the car and headed out. On the way to the Urgent Care clinic, Drew kept looking at the clock and asking me if he'd get back to the game before it ended! Lots of blood and a couple of x-rays later, he was bandaged up and sent home with his broken nose.....and instructions from the doctor to be sure the ball ends up in his glove next time!
