Anna was over the moon excited when I told her we were invited to stay at Jamie's parents' house for the weekend. She has a history with Ms.Patsy (who has now been promoted to Aunt Patsy by Anna herself) of shopping at the dollar store. Fortunately, Anna now understands numerical meanings and has a concept of restraint. (On our last trip, Anna was 3, and when told to choose just a couple of items, worked on filling a cart instead.) Even so, I think they came back home with more than they originally planned. Anna chose a purple stick horse to give as her shower gift that day. Sweet Aunt Jamie said she was sure the baby would love it. :-) Steve and Patsy took us out to eat lunch after church Sunday morning, then we said goodbye and hit the road.
